Per parent: I know people think we are insane for allowing the kids to sign up for all they do and for driving all over the place so they can do their activities. We have sacrificed a lot of time and it can get a little hectic, but days like this and people like this are such a reminder of WHY we do it. The player holding the flowers lost her mom last weekend. Our team mom 😇purchased flowers and after the game all of our girls presented them to her. Horrible refs and some drama on the field, but the girls were able to put aside whatever just happened on the field and love on this player who has lost someone so dear to her. So, while my children do not aspire to be professional athletes and our bank account needs a break, all of this is totally worth it if I know my kids are learning how to be good, strong, confident, healthy, loving humans through organized sports.
